Hospice Volunteer Training

In collaboration with North Shore Community College, Beacon Hospice is offering a comprehensive five-week training program on becoming a hospice volunteer. As a friendly visitor, your presence will be appreciated by special patients coping with life limiting illnesses. Offer companionship by holding a hand, reading a book out loud, enjoying music together or simply sharing life stories, and bring your unique personality to a bedside. The Beacon Hospice approach to care creates a patient and family environment of comfort and dignity. Volunteers are instructed and supervised by the Volunteer Coordinator and supported by other members of the patient care team. Your presence is a gift!

To REGISTER go to http://community.northshore.edu/search/courses and search for course "CSJ425 – Hospice Volunteer Training: End-of Life Care", among non-credit courses.
