Allison Sloan, (Certified Yoga Instructor)of Finding Inner Peace, will appear at Reading Public Library’s LiveWires Coffee & More program series on Tuesday, March 13 at 10:00 a.m. for an interactive program to engage thoughts and gently tune muscles as she discusses the seven Chakras and the eighteen forms of Tai Chi Qigong (pronounced “Chee Kung”).
Tai Chi Qigong is the practice of aligning breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, healing, and meditation. The Chakras are the seven circles of energy in our bodies, which align along the spine to balance, store and distribute energy through the body. Allison will demonstrate and lead participants in the eighteen forms of Tai Chi Qigong, a relaxing, flowing motion to help oxygenate and unwind muscles. This ancient practice also offers movement to distract the mind, clear thoughts and rejuvenate spirits.
