Are you a gardener - with plants multiplying beyond your fondest wishes? Need some different plants to introduce to your garden bed? Or, do you want to be a gardener and need some plants (and some free advice) to start?
If so, Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend is for you - on Sanborn Street by the Office entry to First Congregational Church of Reading, between 8 and 11 a.m. It's a rain or shine event. If you have plants to swap, dig them up and bring them to share. In exchange you can select some different plants to take home with you. You are welcome to bring both indoor and outdoor plants. There is no need for money if you are swapping. On the other hand if you are just beginning, you will be free to purchase some plants at modest prices. In addition to the plants, there will be floral cards available for sale. Proceeds will go to the Kitchen Fund for the church.
