RCTV Hosts Summer Workshops

This summer Reading Community Television (RCTV) will once again be holding its summer TV workshop.

This one-week summer workshop is open to kids ages 10 to 16 and introduce participants to studio filming, remote filming, chroma-key, and post-production editing.

At the beginning of the week, participants are divided into small groups which create, produce, and edit a 15 to 20-minute show to air on RCTV. On the last day, there will be a final viewing session where both the kids and their parents can see the final product. The kids will also be given a DVD copy of their project to take home.

The workshop runs from Aug. 2-6. Workshop hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., making it a great summer option for working parents. Tuition is $225.

If you wish to register your child for the RCTV summer workshop or would like more information, call RCTV at 781-944-8888 or email Angela Merrill at angela@rctv.org.
