What's the Big Deal with GMOs?

Few people realize that 75% of the products on their grocery store shelves are made with genetically modified plants into which DNA of another species such as a bacteria or virus has been forced.  We are feeding them to ourselves and our children.  Should we be concerned?  Nearly 50 countries around the world, including Japan, Australia, Russia, China and all of the EU member states say yes, and either ban GMOs or require explicit labeling.  In the US, genetically modified foods are sold freely, without any disclosure required.

Join Sharon Saulenas for a discussion of what GMOs are, which crops are commonly affected, and how to read labels to recognize and avoid them.  Each attendee will receive a shopping guide listing some of your favorite companies which have been verified GMO-free.
