
Everett T. Blais, Jr., a resident of Reading for 44 years, died at his home on May 1. He was 85 years of age. Everett was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 1, 1933, the son of the late Everett T. and Edna (Ballou) Blais.
Everett was a retired Boston Police Officer. He served his country proudly during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. After being honorably discharge from the Air Force he joined the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves.
Everett was the Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Drummond) Blais. Devoted father of Thomas D. Blais and his wife Cathleen of Reading. Loving grandfather of Zachary, Jacob and Katerina. Brother of the late Barbara Russo and also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, May 3 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.), Reading at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading. There are no visiting hours.
