Famous Reading: RMHS QB Goes on to the NFL
While Chris Pizzotti has never seen regular season play, he's signed with two NFL teams and can fall back on his Harvard degree.

This star Reading Memorial High School quarterback may not be the biggest name to come out of Reading, but he's probably the most physically imposing individual in our series.
At 6 feet 5 inches and 225 pounds, Chris Pizzotti has the build of a professional athlete, which is convenient, considering he currently is one – or, is trying to be one, anyway.
Pizzotti has yet to play in a regular season NFL game and currently has no professional contract, but he signed in the past with both the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets.

No team picked Pizzotti in the NFL draft, but he reported in April 2009 that the Jets called him during the event and offered to sign him if he remained a free agent at the end of the day.
He joined the team in May, and posted a less than-stellar-record with the Jets practice squad. He gave up an interception in one July 2009 contest, and the Jets released him on Aug. 15 only to resign him again on Aug. 21, then release him again on Aug. 30.

In December, the Packers added Pizzotti to their roster. The team kept him for the final five weeks of the 2009 season, then released him in May.
While Pizzotti currently has no NFL contract, he came closer to the professional gridiron than most people do, and boasts an impressive college career.
While at Harvard, he was twice chosen as an All-Ivy quarterback. He finished his collegiate career with 5,675 yards passing and 37 touchdowns. And, if his professional sports career doesn't work out, he can fall back on his Harvard economics degree.
