Fire Breaks Out In Reading Apartment Building
Firefighters dealt with the blaze at a three-story apartment building earlier this week.
READING, MA — A second-alarm fire broke out in a three-story apartment building in Reading earlier this week. The fire was reported at 58 Mineral St. at 8:30 a.m.
Firefighters arrived and found the fire in an apartment building where smoke was visible on the third floor.
The fire department struck a second alarm to bring in mutual aid resources from North Reading, Wakefield, Woburn, and Stoneham.

The configuration of the building made access to the third floor difficult, meaning that crews had to use the exterior fire escape to search the apartment and extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to one apartment.

No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
