Fire At Reading Residential Building Leaves 1 Hospitalized
A fire Tuesday night resulted in heavy smoke on the building's sixth floor, according to fire department officials.
READING, MA —One resident was hospitalized and one resident displaced following a fire in Reading on Tuesday night, according to Reading Firefighters Local 1640.
The fire department received a 911 call Tuesday at 10 p.m. reporting a fire on the sixth floor of the Summit Tower Condominiums.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and almost zero visibility on the sixth floor.

Firefighters discovered an oven fire that had caused the heavy smoke conditions. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and smoke was cleared.
