Firefighters Extinguish Blaze At Storage Shed In Reading

Firefighters responded to the call early Thursday morning.

READING, MA — Firefighters extinguished a blaze at a shed in Reading on Thursday morning, according to a Facebook post from Reading Firefighters Local 1640.

The fire was reported by multiple callers at 6 a.m. in the Green Street area.

"A box alarm was struck and a full assignment was sent to the area," according to the Facebook post. "While companies were responding, another caller reported a storage shed fire in the rear of the Green Street Apartment buildings. Crews arrived to find the shed well involved but not threatening other structures. The fire was extinguished and there were no injuries."
