The office is collecting new hats, mittens, gloves, scarves and socks for the school's annual Giving Tree. Donations are going to the , which will distribute the items to local families in need. All items will be displayed on the Giving Tree. Today is the deadline for donations.

Do you have a question you've always wanted to ask your state representative but never thought you would have the chance? Well, today is your lucky day. State Rep. Brad Jones Jr. or his designee will hold office hours at today from noon to 1 p.m. Jones or a member of his staff will be in the Selectmen's meeting room, Room 14. No appointments are required.

Hoops doubleheader tonight.

It's not exactly within the North Reading town limits, but any diehard Hornets fan is going to want to head to Lynnfield tonight to watch the boys and girls basketball teams take on the Pioneers. The girls tip off at 6:30 p.m. and , while the boys take to the court at 8 p.m. and .
