There's no other way to say it. According to the National Weather Service, it will be sunny in the wake of the season's first major snowstorm. But that sun will come with a price. The high temperature will be near 29 degrees, but wind chill values will make it feel as low as 6 below zero. A west wind between 15-18 mph could gust as high as 39 mph. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 20, the weather service said.

Some scheduled Senior Center events won't happen this week.

The regularly scheduled Exercise With Emma classes at the on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. are canceled for this week due to school vacation. Also, the Wednesday Bingo session is also canceled for this week.

The wrestling team tackles the Pentucket tournament at 10 a.m. in West Newbury. The girls basketball team tips off at the Marian Mustang Classic in Framingham at 2 p.m. today. The hockey team faces off tonight at 6 in the Roy Condon Invitational at Burbank Ice Arena in Reading.
