Food, Live Entertainment at This Year's Reading Fall Street Faire

The annual event will take place on the first Sunday in September.

Local businesses and food vendors will line the streets in downtown Reading on Sunday, Sept. 7 for the sixth annual Reading Fall Street Faire.

The fair, on Main Street, Haven Street and High Street, will feature entertainment including a best in show dog competition, local bands, and performance groups such as community singers, dancers and orchestras.

Festivities will be held from noon to 5 p.m.

Kids entertainment will include a bounce house, an obstacle course, a rodeo pumpkin, and a rock climbing wall. Tickets for these amusements are $1, and unlimited ride wristbands are $20.

The car show, at the Municipal Lot behind CVS, 650 Main St., will display antique and classic cars from noon to 5 p.m. Email Steve Goldy to register.

Before the fair begins, the Fall Street 5k Race goes off at 10 a.m. and will start and end at Washington Park, 100 Washington St.

The fair committee is seeking volunteers to help with setup and supervising the children’s area, among other responsibilities. Those interested in volunteering can email at Kristen Bonzaoli at kbonazoli@gmail.com.
