Four From Reading Honored By Youth Orchestra

Logan Thornton named to All-State Festival.

As the 2016-17 season draws to a close, Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras (NMYO) is proud to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of its musicians who were accepted to the MMEA All-State and Northeastern District Festivals.

Of NMYO’s members from Reading, Logan Thornton was accepted into the All-State Festival and Olivia Blumenshine, Logan Thornton, and Philip Satterthwaite were accepted into the Senior District Festival.

Join NMYO! There are still spots available for certain instruments for the upcoming 2017-18 season, including: young string players for the Prelude and Overture String Ensembles, advanced string players (especially violists) for the Symphony Orchestra, French horn and other brass instruments in Wind Ensemble, and flutists for the Flute Choir.
