Frances F. (Flaherty) Akell of Stoneham, passed away on Friday April 14. She was 81 years of age. Fran was the beloved wife of 52 years to Alfred "Fred" Akell. Cherished sister of Alice J. Hegarty and her late husband Richard. Loving daughter of the late Richard and Frances (Scott) Flaherty. Dear sister in law of Theresa Akell and her late husband Harold Jr. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Fran was a teacher in Reading for 39 years. She was a member of the gardening club in Stoneham and the Stoneham Public Library Board. She was an avid knitter, gardener and loved to read.
