Gardening with Native Plants: Why & How

Claudia Thompson, founder of Grow Native Massachusetts, will give an overview of the essential importance of native plants to ecosystem health on all lands, large and small. She will explain the principles for designing gardens that are places of both beauty and biodiversity, how to work within an ecological framework, and how to create habitats for birds. She will end the program by giving an overview of many resources available to learn more about native plants. This program is co-sponsored by the Reading Public Library and the Reading Garden Club.
