George Robicheau Passes Away

Proudly served as a member of the United States Navy on the USS Stevenson during WWII.

George J. Robicheau, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday Aug. 1. He was 92 years of age.

George was a resident of Reading for 42 years. He and his wife Frances built their house in Reading in 1976 where they raised their family. As a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Reading, George was very active in the Parish. George loved his family and loved to go fishing. He was an electrician at Polaroid for over 30 years.

George proudly served as a member of the United States Navy on the USS Stevenson during WWII. He was the recipient of the WWII Victory Medal, Asiatic - Pacific Medal, American Area and European Area Medals. George was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be missed by all.

George was the beloved husband of the late Frances (Park) Robicheau. He was the cherished father of April Robicheau and Lorraine Brennan. He was the devoted grandfather of Tiffany Robicheau, Michael Shone, and George Brennan. George was the loving son of the late Alphonse and Roseann (DeVeau) Robicheau. Dear brother of the late Robert and Bernard Robicheau, Agnes Comeau and Margaret Muise. Uncle of Annette Comeau and other nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. Reading, Monday Aug. 7th at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating George's Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Sunday Aug. 6th from 4-8 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance available.
