Giles Laroche Coming To Reading's Whitelam Books
Illustrator of "A Place To Start A Family, Poems about Creatures that Build" coming to town Jan. 27.

Whitelam Books is hosting Giles Laroche, illustrator of the anticipated poetry book "A Place to Start a Family: Poems about Creatures that Build" on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 2-3 p.m. Whitelam Books is located in downtown Reading at 610 Main Street, near the intersection of Haven Street and Main Street.
Released on Jan. 16, "A Place to Start a Family: Poems about Creatures that Build" is the second collaboration between illustrator Giles Laroche and author David Harrison. Giles will be signing books that will be available for purchase at Whitelam Books, as well as giving a brief presentation and Q & A. Admission is free.
Reading residents will remember Giles Laroche as the Reading Public Library Artist-in-Residence this past fall. Giles Laroche shared his artwork and lead our community in the creation of a large-scale Town of Reading collage (currently viewable in the Innovation Studio at the Reading Public Library.) Mr. Laroche lives in Salem, is a fine artist, and the illustrator of many books for children. His paper relief collage illustrations are filled with detail and vibrant color.
