Gladys Casey Passes Away At 94

Graduated from Reading Memorial High School in 1939.

Gladys (White) Andrick Casey, 94, of Lexington, formerly of Reading, died on April 4.

She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen P. Andrick and the late John (Jack) Casey, loving mother of Stephen J. Andrick and his wife Bonnie of Reading, and her former daughter in law, Gail Rex of Reading. Loving grandmother of Mark Andrick and his wife Taylor of Wakefield, Paul Andrick and Brandon Mullarkey both of Reading. She was predeceased by her sister; Marion Surette.

Gladys was raised in Reading and graduated from Reading Memorial High School, class of 1939. While in high school she was a cheerleader and a member of the girls’ varsity field hockey and basketball teams. She retired from Stoneham Bank in 1982 where she had served as an Assistant Treasurer. Gladys spent many happy days in retirement at Newfound Lake in New Hampshire with her husband, Steve, and later, in Venice, Fla., with her second husband, Jack.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 10th at the Douglass, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading at 11 a.m. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial in Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gladys’s memory to the Salvation Army at www.salvationarmy.org.
