Golf Tourney Raises Money for Alzheimer's Research

Golf spots are filled, but still spaces available for reception for this worthy fundraiser.

The David K. Johnson Foundation is celebrating its 15th year raising money for Alzheimer’s research and helping families affected. To date the Reading-based foundation has contributed over $280,000 towards their causes.

Their 15th Annual Golf Tournament at Four Oaks Country Club is on August 17th. Among the many experiential moments this tournament is known for, the Lyon-Waugh dealership of Peabody will have a Jaguar on the course.

Closest to the pin wins it for a weekend.

“Our golf tournament is our largest fundraiser of the year”, said Co-Founder Gregg Johnson. “Everyone who attends leaves having had a fun/memorable experience while supporting a great cause”.

All proceeds raised by The DKJ Foundation is donated to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Sanborn Place, Home Care & Day Services, and the David and Susan Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund.

“All overhead and operating expenses are paid for by the founders and 100% of the proceeds go directly towards our causes” said Executive Director Jen Cote. “This is just one of the many reasons people should connect with this great organization”.

Golf is sold out, but there is still time to sign up for the reception and dinner and more importantly, consider being a sponsor of this great event and help DKJ make year 15 their best one yet.
