Goodwill Names Reading Resident New Vice President of Philanthropy
Executive Mike Curren brings more than 30 years of experience to organization

Mike Curren, a successful senior-level fundraising executive with more than 30 years of experience, comes to Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries as its vice president of philanthropy.
Mike, of Reading, joins Goodwill from the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund where he was a senior vice president and helped to orchestrate the expansion of a $3.5 million budget to a $10.7 million budget in four years. At Goodwill, Mike will focus his attention on all aspects of fundraising, forging new strategic alliances, and expanding the development portfolio.
“We are pleased to welcome Mike to the Goodwill organization,” said Joanne Hilferty, president and CEO of Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries. “Mike will help us expand our development and community partnerships so we can continue to fulfill our mission to help individuals with barriers to self-sufficiency to achieve independence and dignity through work.”

Curren said he was looking forward to joining the Goodwill team. “I’m very excited to take on this new role.” he said. “It is an honor to work at such a venerable and established organization as Goodwill. It has ambitious plans for the future that will require us to grow our fundraising efforts so that we can better serve the community by putting more people to work.”
