Heavy Snow, Possible Power Outages in the Forecast
Reading is under a Winter Storm Watch beginning Friday night.

And slick roads and low visibility and potential power outages and heavy shoveling...
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Reading beginning at midnight Jan. 24, and continuing throughout the day Saturday.

The watch warns to anticipate 4 to 8 inches of heavy snow as well as a trace of ice. Additionally, “large branches and wires could be brought down where snowfall exceeds 5 inches.”
Difficult travel is also anticipated once the snow begins early Saturday morning. The snow is expected to mix with sleet during midday and switch back to snow in the afternoon and evening.
