Help bring Zeva Home to Laura... With a Little Wine, Beer, Cheese and Maybe Win a Prize or Two!
Zeva is a service dog who is going to be a life-changer to Laura! You can help make that happen and have a fun night out at the same time!
Laura suffers from Neurocardiogenic Syncope, a form of Dysautonomia, along with Fibromyalgia. With Neurocardogenic Syncope, Laura’s heart rate and blood pressure do not regulate properly. This causes her to faint. Along with fainting, she suffers from gastrointestinal problems, chronic fatigue and chronic pain.
Zeva is a service dog who is trained to detect syncope. She can warn Laura that she is about to faint before Laura even knows! She will also help with Laura’s daily life. Canine Partners for Life in Pennsylvania has matched Laura with Zeva. Laura will travel to Pennsylvania in June to train with Zeva, then bring her home! Todd at the Wine Shop in Reading has graciously offered to host a wine tasting fundraiser to help raise funds. There will be wine and beer tastings and lots of fun raffles! On top of that, Lauren at Everything But the Dog on Haven Street has offered to donate 15% of sales that mention Laura and Zeva between May 18 - May 22!
