He's in the will, but she's in the way

Quannapowitt Players of Reading presents "My Old Lady," by Wakefield native Israel Horovitz, May 6 - 21

He's in the will, but she's in the way. From May 6 – 21, Quannapowitt Players of Reading presents My Old Lady, a poignant play by Wakefield native Israel Horovitz.

The story is simple, but the layers of emotions that takes us through are not. When a son estranged from his father inherits a Paris apartment, he is sure his luck has changed. However, when he travels to Paris to sell the apartment, he finds an old woman living there who has no plans to move out. A thoughtful drama with ingenious twists.

Directed by another Wakefield native, Nancy Curran Willis, the production features local actors David Kimmelman (Woburn), Liz Robbins (Burlington) and Kim Anton Myatt (Reading).

Performances are May 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 22 at 8pm, and Sunday, May 15, at 2pm at Quannapowitt Players on 55 Hopkins Street in Reading, Mass. Tickets are $19 general admission and $18 Senior/Student. To purchase tickets, call 781-942-2212 or visit www.qptheater.com/box-office
