Hey Kids, the Hunt Playground Is Open

The park features entirely new playground equipment and a new surface.

The newly renovated Hunt Park Playground opens to the public Friday, July 21st. After months of planning and construction, the playground, which abuts Eaton Street and Pleasant Street and is located next to the Hunt Park Memorial Field, will be open for children ages 2 to 5 years-old to enjoy.

The park features entirely new playground equipment and a new surface. Reading Department of Public Works dismantled the old equipment. The company “Gametime” provided and installed the new equipment. The project, which was funded through the Town of Reading Capital Plan, was overseen by Reading’s Recreation Division.

“I would like to thank the Reading DPW and Recreation Division for their hard work on this project,” said Town Manager Bob LeLacheur. “I would also like to thank Gametime for their timely completion of the work.”
