Horse Rescued From Swimming Pool
Fire, police pulled the horse from the water after it fell through the cover on a pool Saturday night.
Fire and police crews rescued a horse that fell through the cover of a swimming pool at a Park Street residence Saturday night.
Police and firefighters from the North Reading Fire Department responded to 402 Park St. shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday after receiving a call of a horse that fell into a pool.
The horse became trapped in the cover, although its head was above water, according to scanner reports. Firefighters cut the pool cover away, and police officers and firefighters helped pull the horse out of the water, police said.
