How Do Reading Gas Prices Stack Up in the State?
A couple of Reading stations come in below the statewide average.

Massachusetts gas prices continue to fall, marking the 17th straight week of tumbling prices at the pump.
Gas Jan. 5, 2015, hit an average of $2.36 for self-service, regular unleaded fuel -- that’s a $.10 reduction from the prior week and $.42 lower than a month ago, according to a price survey by AAA Northeast.
As of Monday afternoon, in Reading the lowest price offered was $2.19 at Mutual Gas (85 Main St.) and at RMP Auto (1337 Main St.), according to GasBuddy.

The current statewide average remains higher than the national average of $2.20, but is $1.11 less than the average price in Massachusetts a year ago.
“Lower gas prices continue to be welcome news for consumers, who are saving an estimated $500 million each day,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs at AAA Northeast. “Barring any unforeseen circumstances, AAA sees no reason for this trend not to continue in the short term.”

The cheapest gas in Massachusetts state on Monday could be found in Holbrook, where a station is selling it for $2.07 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.
