How Many OUI Convicts' 'Last Drinks' Were Consumed in Reading?
Plus, see which Massachusetts establishments had the most "places of last drink" reports.

READING, MA — Luckily for local establishments, Reading hasn't been a place where many OUI convicts have consumed their last drink before their arrest recently.
The town has been the "place of last drink" for 26 people who have been arrested and convicted for operating under the influence in the last four years, according to The Boston Globe. The Globe report said that number was for people arrested between 2012 through Sept. 2016 who said they had their last drink at a bar or restaurant in town.
There has been just one "place of last drink" report in Reading per capita (1,000 residents).

The Globe also listed the top 50 bars and restaurants in the state who have the most "place of last drink" reports, which represent an "instance in which the establishment allegedly served the last drink to an intoxicated person who was then arrested and later convicted for operating under the influence."
No Reading establishments made the list, but here's a look at the five Massachusetts establishments with the most "place of last drink" reports:
