Irene D. (Peterson) Foster, a longtime resident of Reading and also Beachmont Revere died Thursday, Feb. 8. She was 86. Wife of the late Walter Foster. Mother of Ronald Foster of Savannah, GA and Larry Foster of Reading. Grandfather of Walter Foster of Park City, UT and Devon Foster of New Orleans, LA. She was a longtime member of Motion to Music at the Pleasant St. Senior Center in Reading. She was a retired secretary from Hewlett-Packard/Agilent. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 3 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading at 11 am. There are no visiting hours and burial is private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Irene's memory to the Alzheimer's Assoc. MA/NH Chapter 309 Waverly Oaks Rd. Waltham, MA 02452.
