Jams For Jake A First-Year Success

Sunday's event was well attended, and the weather cooperated.

The first Jams For Jake event was a success according to organizer Ryan McKee. Ok, maybe it could have been a little warmer but according to McKee, "It went very well. We had a great turnout, I believe 350 people total throughout the day. We had great music and it really seemed like people enjoyed themselves."

Jams for Jake was an all-day music festival/community gathering held Sunday to honor the memory of Reading Memorial High School graduate Jake Czuczwa, who died last summer. It was held at Symonds Way behind Burbank Ice Arena to raise resources and awareness in the fight against the opioid epidemic.

With 2017 in the books, plans are already underway for 2018.
