
Joan-Anne (Moore) Marshall of Peabody, formerly of Reading, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 1. She was 88 years of age.
She was born on January 22, 1930, daughter of Warren E. and Gladys L. (Rendle) Moore. Joan-Anne was the adoring wife of 60 years to the late William H. Marshall.
Joan-Anne was a graduate from Malden High School class of 1947 and Salem Teachers College (now known as Salem University) class of 1951. She taught in Malden from 1951-1954 and later in Reading from 1968-1994. Teaching was her true passion.

After living in Reading for 55 years, Bill and Joan-Anne moved to Brooksby Village in Peabody. She truly loved her community, her choir, her friends, especially her neighbors on the 7th floor. She was known for her smile and stream of love. She was very caring as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher and friend.
She was the devoted mother of Jan Bordinaro of Gloucester, Dale Enes of Boxford, Kim Rudolf of Manchester and William “Chip” Marshall of Tewksbury. She was the cherished sister of the late Gem Colvin and the late Warren E. Moore, Jr. She was the loving grandmother of 4 and loving great grandmother of 7.

A celebration of life will be held at the Brooksby Village 200 Brooksby Village Drive, The Harvest Grill, Peabody on Sept. 11 from 11 am to 2 pm. Burial is private and there are no visiting hours per Joan-Anne’s request.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joan-Anne’s memory to the Brooksby Village Resident Care Fund, Philanthropy Office 200 Brooksby Village Dr. Peabody, MA 01960.
