Jones Has Not Missed Roll Call Vote in 20 Years of Serving in State House

The representative has voted in 5,995 straight roll call votes.

The perfect voting record of House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones Jr. (R-North Reading) remains intact.

Jones has not missed a roll call vote since he was sworn in 20 years ago. That’s 5,995 straight roll call votes.

“I deeply appreciate the opportunity to serve the 20th Middlesex District and the citizens of North Reading, Reading, Lynnfield and Middleton,” said Jones. “I hope my voting record reflects just how thankful I am for this opportunity and how seriously I take my ongoing commitment to representing the people within the district.”

According to Jones’ office:

“Representative Jones cast votes on a number of issues including: the repeal of the largest and broadest tax on computer and software services in the nation, a tax amnesty program which is poised to collect millions of dollars in overdue tax liabilities which might otherwise be forgone, requiring the Commonwealth to produce a full accountancy report of the costs incurred by the failed Health Connector website, and increased oversight for taxpayer-funded programs such as the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), and the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) program.

“Additionally, the North Reading lawmaker registered votes against raising taxes by close to $2 billion, in opposition of bringing Massachusetts into compliance with the omnibus federal healthcare law prior to its implementation in January 2014, and against automatically linking the state’s gasoline tax to inflation.”
