Justification

Saying no to the override

Justification. After attending the meeting at RCTV, that's all I heard. Every board justified why they want more money of the hard working residents of this town. They used the emotional subjects, teachers and safety, the ones everyone cares about. Not once did anyone hear about reductions in redundant administrative positions, dpw, or even custodial, just to name a few. And every department told us about their wish list, and how this override won't be the end. And any asset the town would sell off would not to returned to the tax payers, it would be used for future capital projects, and they have several. So, when will it end? When u or a neighbor is taxed out of their home? This town needs leaders that care about every resident, not just the ones who can contribute the most. When will the town leadership be happy, what is their price? I see no end in sight. Not only should we vote no, we should make every effort to make changes in town leadership that has every resident in mind, not just their agenda that they want us to pay for. We all have to live within a budget, why doesn't our town? And Bill Brown is right, the way the override is being done violates our state law, but they justified that too.
