Karyn Polito talks business and local aid in Reading

Karyn Polito, Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor, enjoyed the day in Reading Tuesday with visits to local businesses. Karyn visited the Chocolate Truffle and O'Dea's barbershop with Selectman John Halsey before picking up pizza from Columbo's to share with members of the Reading Fire Department.

"Our first responders are the heart and soul of every community and it shouldn't take a tragedy to remember that," Karyn said. "In recent years, cuts to local aid have cut into local public safety funds, hamstringing our police and fire departments. In a Baker-Polito administration, we'll fix the local aid and make sure that tax dollars are being spent in the communities where we live."

This week Karyn and Charlie Baker are criss-crossing Massachusetts on their "Great Again Massachusetts" tour. For more information visit www.CharlieBaker2014.com
