Lady Rockets Lacrosse is Postseason Bound

The MIAA released its postseason pairings on Thursday, and Reading snagged the No. 10 seed in North Division 1.

The Reading High School girls lacrosse team now knows its playoff fate.

On Thursday the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association announced its girls lacrosse postseason pairings, which include an appearance by the Rockets.

Reading earned the No. 10 seed in the North Division 1 tournament thanks to a record of 12-5 during the regular season.

As a result, the locals snagged a preliminary round bye and will take on No. 7 ranked Lincoln-Sudbury on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The winner of that game will take on either No. 2 Framingham or lower seeded Beverly or Lexington, which play in the preliminaries for the right to take on Framingham in the first round.

Reading's boys lacrosse team also snagged a postseason berth. Those Rockets will find out their assignment on Friday when brackets are announced.
