Lady Rockets Two Wins From Second Straight Title

Reading High School toppled North Andover to win the North Division 2 sectional title on Saturday morning in Lowell.

It was business as usual for the Reading High School girls basketball team.

The Lady Rockets topped North Andover on Saturday at the Tsongas Center in Lowell to earn a spot in the state semifinal, hoping to take the next step in earning a second straight undefeated state championship.

Thanks to Saturday's win, head coach Kim Penney's charges will take on Medfield at 6 p.m. on the parquet of TD Garden. Can't make the game? No worries. Patch will be in attendance live chatting with up to the second updates throughout the contest.

"It's awesome," said Penney, wrapping up her final season as Reading coach. "Everyone was there last year except for the two freshmen, so it's exciting for them, and for all of us. We're excited."
