Young Performers Rehearse For Upcoming ‘Annie’ Show

Forty-six students to construct the sets, sing the songs and play the parts.

Reading-based Creative Arts will stage a production of 'Annie' next weekend, performed, sung and constructed by area youths.

The performance will culminate the group' two-week long youth musical camp running from Aug. 9-21 held at the Union Congregational Church in North Reading.

This year, the camp drew 46 students who ranged from 7 to 17-years-old, according to Theatre Director Angela Merrill. During the two-week program, the group auditions for parts, learns songs and constructs sets.
