UPDATED: Longtime Volunteer, Civic Activist Named Outstanding Citizen

The distinction is awarded by the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce.

Camille Anthony has spent more than two decades serving the Town of Reading, and now she’s been named the Reading Outstanding Citizen of a Year by the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce.

According to the Daily Times Chronicle, Anthony served as a town meeting member for more than 20 years, held a position on the Conservation Commission for 12 years and served as on the Reading Board of Selectman for 18 years before stepping down in 2012.

“We are thrilled to recognize Camille Anthony as our Reading Outstanding Citizen Reading this year. Her contributions to the community are numerous and she has impacted our town and the greater community in numerous ways,” said Chamber President Lisa DeLeo in the Daily Times Chronicle.
