Man Bound With Duct Tape Found On Reading Road

Residents who may have seen anything suspicious in the area between 5-8 p.m. on Sunday are asked to call police.

The Reading Police Department is seeking the public's help with an ongoing investigation after a Lawrence man was found tied up on the side of a road Sunday night according to chief Mark Segalla.

On Sunday, Oct. 1, at approximately 8:19 p.m., Reading Police were dispatched to the area of North Main Street and Short Street on a report that there was a man bound on the side of the road. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a Lawrence man, restrained with duct tape. Following a preliminary investigation, Reading Police determined that the man had been assaulted prior to being bound by his assailants.

The Reading Police are actively investigating, though they do not believe the incident was random. The victim believed there were three male attackers, who were possibly black or Hispanic.
