Man Charged After Reading Police Find Car Parked On Train Tracks
A North Andover man was charged with OUI Tuesday night. An MBTA train had to come to an emergency stop due to a car parked on the tracks.
READING, MA — A man has been charged with operating under the influence after police found his car parked on the train tracks, police said.
Christopher Kierce, 46, of North Andover, was charged with operating under the influence (liquor) and trespassing with a motor vehicle.
Police responded to the area of Vine Street near High Street for a report of a motor vehicle that appeared parked on the train tracks at around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers found an unoccupied black BMW that appeared to have driven over a gravel pit in a construction zone and was parked. The car was parked partially on train tracks.

Police searched the area and found the driver, Kierce, near Middlesex Avenue, about 1,000 feet from the car, according to police.
