READING, MA — Police are searching for a man authorities say attempted to lure an 11-year-old girl into his car while she was out walking her dog on Monday.
Police said the girl was walking her dog at 2:20 p.m. near the corner of Lilah Lane and Thomas Drive when she was approached by a gray sedan. The driver, whom police said the girl did not know, told her to get into the car, police said in a news release on Tuesday.
The girl was able to run down the street without being harmed and reached a neighbor’s house where she asked for help. Police said the girl was then able to reach her mother without further incident.
