Middlesex Fells Reservation Mountain Biking Season Kickoff

Family-Friendly Event Committed to Creating Epic Riding Experiences While Promoting Trail Advocacy

On Saturday, May 2nd, The Greater Boston chapter of the New England Mountain Biking Association (NEMBA) will help kick-off the Kona MTB Adventure Series with a family-friendly event at the Middlesex Fells Reservation.

Group rides will be run at various skill and speed levels, led by trained ride leaders, and will introduce riders to greater Boston’s Middlesex Fells located just a few miles north of the city. Those more familiar or adventurous are invited to follow color coded signs for a self-guided experience. A number of local bike shops and manufacturers will bring out the latest mountain bikes and accessories, and have mechanics on hand for quick repairs. Lunch will be served by CycleLoft and will be included as part of the admission fee. The Fells Kickoff is part of the Kona Bicycles MTB Adventure Series, which raises funds for the hosting parks or related causes. Join Greater Boston NEMBA in the celebration of 27 years of mountain bike advocacy to normalize access to singletrack in the Fells and help us raise money to improve trail conditions.

A community of mountain bikers committed to creating epic riding experiences, preserving open space and guiding the future of mountain biking in New England, NEMBA is a recreational trails advocacy organization with 25 chapters throughout New England with over 5,000 members. In addition to leading nearly a thousand guided rides seasonally, conducting skills and trail building clinics and advocating for mountain biking and recreational trails, NEMBA works collaboratively with key leaders and land managers to secure and maintain appropriate trail systems in scores of parks throughout New England.
