Natalie Moxcey Passes Away

Former Reading resident graduated from Beverly High School in 1957.

Natalie A. Moxcey of Spring TX, formally of Reading, passed peacefully from this life to the next on December 16. She was 76.

Beloved wife of the late Richard D. Moxcey. Loving mother of Scott Moxcey & wife Laura Moxcey of Spring TX, Christine Stumcke & husband Brian Stumcke of Stoneham MA, and Elizabeth Kishbaugh & husband Daniel Kishbaugh of Spring TX. Sister of William Stanley, Robert Stanley & Ellen Eaton. Devoted grandmother of Nicolas and Sydney Moxcey, Katherine, Calvin, Brian Richard, Nathan and Frank Stumcke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Natalie Graduated from Beverly High School in 1957 and went onto earn her R.N. at Lynn Hospital School of Nursing in 1962. She worked for almost 20 years as a Nurse in Pediatrics until she left the Nursing profession to become a Business Owner and Brother Knitting Machine Distributor. Natalie enjoyed and ran her business, Tamarack Knits, until she retired in 2002.

Natalie will be remembered as a quiet, reserved, kind-hearted and generous person. She enjoyed cruises with her husband, Richard, Fireside Chats (until she was sure the fire was out) at the Camp in Maine, Knitting, getting together with her Nursing School classmates and spending time and attending events with her children and grandchildren.

Her Funeral will be held from the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading Friday, Dec. 29 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral home visiting hours will be Thursday from 4-8 pm. Burial in Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading.
