North Reading School of Ballet to Hold Open Auditions

North Reading School of Ballet will hold open auditions for its award- winning competition and performance teams on Saturday at 52 Main St., No. 210. 

Auditions for dancers ages 13 and up will be from 9-9:30 a.m., and auditions for those between 10-12 years old will be between 9:30-10 a.m.

All are welcome, including those who are not currently NRSB students. Auditions are for serious dance students who dance at least twice weekly and are committed to the many hours of work involved with the being on the team.

The North Reading School of Ballet's recent achievements include all five of its performing groups, including the mini performers, attending the Dance Xplosion Competition at the Collins Center in Andover on March 25-27. The school took home 12 first-place trophies, and award for overall excellence in ballet, and the Xcalibur award, the highest award for the novice division.

The Xcalibur award, for the school's junior tap large group "Brooklyn Bounce," qualified the school for the finals in New Jersey. "Brooklyn Bounce" is choreographed by Stephanie Morris.
