North Reading's Week in Social Media

A look at chatter across social media this week.

Here at North Reading Patch, social media is a big deal. It's how we interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook and other media throughout the past week. We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.

  • In response to our story on the Union Congregational Church Lobster Bisque Luncheon, Laura Voto Salvo gave two thumbs up to the menu, saying "Rev. Rick makes the finest lobster bisque."
  • We put a call out on our Facebook page for anyone who knows someone affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. We also are interested in hearing from local organizations who may be gathering aid for quake victims. Share your story with editor Matt Bashalany at matthew.bashalany@patch.com.
  • On the North Reading Patch home page, "Cherie" wrote, "I just posted on facebook that my friends should 'like' NR Patch because I do. :-)" Cherie's post helped us get up to 235 Facebook fans by the end of the week, to which we owe a sincere debt of gratitude.
