OBITUARY: Ralph J. Robinson, 92, of Reading

READING, MA — Ralph J. Robinson, a resident of Reading for 62 years, died at his home on December 11, 2016. He was 92 years of age.

Ralph was born in Greenport, Long Island, New York on February 27, 1924. He was the son of the late Ralph G. and Margaret (Roache) Robinson. He proudly served his country serving in the 415th Bomber Squadron, 99th Bomber Group U.S. Army Air Force during WW II. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal. Ralph was active in the Boy Scouts Troop 704 in Reading for 15 years and served as the Treasurer. He was a longtime member of St. Agnes Church in Reading.

Ralph was the beloved husband of Jane (Van Stratton) Robinson. Devoted father of Margaret Ann Freeman and her husband Robert, Nancy Ellen Holden and her husband Keith all of Florida, Joan Marie Munroe of Lowell, Suzanne Louise Foster and her husband Donald of Salem, NH, Michael J. Robinson of Norwood, Matthew S. Robinson and his wife Yon Suk of WA, Paul V. Robinson of Methuen and the late Ralph J., Stephen E. and James M. Robinson. He was the loving grandfather of 17 and great grandfather of 20.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) in Reading from 3:00PM-7:00PM. His funeral services and burial are private.
