Obituary: William D. Carlyle, 57, Reading Native

William D. Carlyle, a resident of Boston for 20 years, formerly of Reading, died on Oct. 24, 2014 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He was 57 years of age.

William was born in Cleveland, Ohio on Nov. 14, 1956, the son of David and Marian (Krost) Carlyle of Otisfield, Maine.

William grew up in Reading and graduated from Reading Memorial High School, Class of 1974.

While growing up he was involved with the Boy Scouts of America and Outward Bound in Maine. He attended Colorado State, UMass Lowell and graduated from Bunker Hill Community College in 2012.

Besides his parents he is survived by his loving brother Scott C. Carlyle and his wife Linda of Westford and sister Christine L. Carlyle of Chicago. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew. Services and burial are private and there are no visiting hours.
