Old South Brass and Organ to perform a free concert
Sunday, September 13th at 3 pm
Come to Old South United Methodist Church, 6 Salem Street in Reading this coming Sunday, September 13th at 3 pm to enjoy a free concert, performed by Old South Brass ensemble and by organist Susan Holloway. It is a perfect way to conclude the Reading Street Faire, in the cool and calm of the sanctuary! The concert will take place inside, in either the air-conditioned Chapel or the upstairs Sanctuary. Refreshments will be provided afterward. Old South is handicapped accessible.

Old South Brass is made a brass ensemble made up of dedicated musicians from the Reading area: Frank Manola, Jim Folz, Joel Zimmerman, Laura Lafferty and Terry Rawlins. They are directed by Susan Holloway, Music Director & Organist at Old South. They offer free concerts three times a year, and their fan base is steadily growing! These free concerts are a terrific way to introduce children of all ages to beautiful music. Their program will include the following selections: Sakura (Cherry Blossoms), traditional Japanese, My Heart Ever Faithful by J.S Bach, Fanfare in C Major by Henry Purcell, Lied and Scherzo by Ludwin Maurer, Exurgat Deus by Alleotti, and Honey Boys on Parade by Cupero, and The Entertainer by Joplin.
