Online Programs Promote Active Parenting
The next cycle of the program begins on March 1.

READING, MA - The Reading Coalition Against Substance Abuse is sponsoring free, online programs on active parenting and the active parenting of teens.
Reading parents have voiced a desire for educational parenting programs that are easily accessible online. RCASA researched Active Parenting: Families in Action, a comprehensive online class for parenting children, tweens and teens.
With the support of grant funding, RCASA is sponsoring free online access to Active Parenting Programs for parents that live, work or go to school in Reading.

Active Parenting teaches parents the skills they need to communicate effectively with their children, pre-teens and teens, encourage better behavior, use positive discipline techniques and teach responsibility. It includes developmental issues and active problem-solving techniques. The program is included in SAMHSA’s National Registry of Evidence Based Programs and Practices.
