PanMass Kids Ride Comes to Reading
A family in Reading brought this fundraiser for Dana Farber to town.
Four years ago, the Swanson family of Reading started the Pan Mass. Challenge Reading Kids Ride, joining thousands across the country who are riding bikes to raise money to help those with cancer. David Swanson, who is 10 and a fifth grader at Birch Meadow Elementary School, had the idea to start the ride in honor of Brian Swanson.
The PMC ride raises funds for the Dana Farber Institute.
The 4th Annual PMC Reading Kids Ride is Sunday, June 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for ages Pre-K to grade 8. It starts and ends at the Wood End Elementary School. The kids ride is a one mile continuous loop around the Wood End neighborhood. There is also a Tykes on Trikes loop in the lot for the little ones.
